We are gearing up for another exciting Giving Day here in the Midlands! On May 3, 2016, Midlands Gives Day, the 11-county Midlands region will all be focused on raising awareness of the scope, size and impact of the nonprofit community and to broaden the base of donors for all nonprofits.
Last year, 32 donors contributed over $2k to ECCHC! These funds have allowed us to purchase additional outreach materials to extend our impact in the communities that we currently serve. We were also able to partner with The Cooperative Ministry and help sponsor a Back to School event that served hundreds of under-served children and families of the Midlands.
Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 to enable us to purchase basic hygiene supplies, socks, flip flops, and clothing to help protect our Homeless and Migrant Farm worker program patients from the elements. These are some of our most vulnerable patients with the fewest available resources. By having these items, it is our goal to help these patients cope, treat, and prevent the common health issues.
